AUTO DIAL AND SPEED DIAL NUMBERS
Setting up and using programmed phone numbers have two key benefits:
You can quickly dial a number you frequently use. For example, you can store
your home phone number into a programmable button.
The company can program special phone numbers that it wants to keep
confidential (e.g., access or identification codes). For example, if your com-
pany utilizes a time-sharing service, the number and access code can be
stored in a programmable button. Many people in the company can then use
the service even though they don’t know what the actual numbers are.
The frequently dialed numbers can include:
Outside Auto Dial Numbers
— Outside numbers that you program into one
button.
Personal Speed Dial Numbers
— Outside numbers that you program into a
3-character dial code.
Intercom Auto Dial Numbers
— Intercom numbers that you program into one
button.
System Speed Dial Numbers
— Numbers that are frequently used by many
people in your company. ( The Attendant will tell you the System Speed Dial
numbers that have been programmed and the 3-character codes to access
them.)
The following procedures are shown with the typical phones that would use the
feature. However, you can use a 5-, 10-, or 34-button phone to program a frequently
dialed number as a one button code or a 3-character code.
