4.4 Valve Proving with Autoflame Gas Sensor
There’s an option to use a Autoflame Gas Sensor, for valve proving. This is enabled using option 125/126/127/128
by selecting “1”, Pressure Limits, Valve Proving. The Gas Pressure sensor doesn’t require for it to be commissioned,
when used for Flame Safeguard mode.
In this mode, valve proving takes place as normal with the usual rules and limits. Once the Flame Safeguard unit
reaches firing, where the running gas pressure would normally be tested against commissioned values, it is instead
tested against an absolute low limit (Option/Parameter 136).
This is at least 3 mbar, but will also take the value of Option/Parameter 136 Gas Pressure Switch Offset Lower Limit
if optioned, so any desired low gas pressure limit can be entered here.
The gas pressure tests done in Flame Safeguard mode will use both Options/Parameters 136 and 138. Option 138
controls the gas pressure required during valve proving. Option 136 is used while firing, instead of the commissioned
gas pressure it has to maintain a pressure of at least the Option 136 value, which is normally the lowest that the
commissioned pressure is allowed to be.
Please Note: Although External VPS may be used, there’s no mains valve proving switch, on the Autoflame
Flame Safeguard unit (MM80001/FSG).
