5.2.5 Communications
Stop Bits The following stop bits are supported:
• 1 Stop Bit
• 2 Stop Bits
Default setting is [1 Stop Bit]
Port B
This interface is for the internal communication between the main board
and the interface card for ModBus
®
RTU RS485, HART, Profibus DP
and M-Bus. See also chapter 4.4.
Diagnostics
Port A
This function allows diagnostics in cases where the port ModBus
®
RTU
is used.

Number of received packets with CRC error;
packet is discarded.

No. of packets transmitted in response to a received
Parity
Errors
Number of characters with parity errors;
packet is discarded.
Framing
Errors
Number of characters with framing error
(e.g. missing stop bit – synchronization problem);
packet is discarded.
Overrun
Errors
Number of received characters that were not
processed due to degradation of system
performance.
Break
Detects
Number of breaks during transmission.
