Settings – Base Maps:
OMR has the option of using an online map or an offline map.
To use the online map a data connection has to be available while the user is operating the
OMR software for reading meters. The option is turned on by selecting the “ESRI Street
Maps” in the Map Layers options that are available in the upper right hand corner of the
map display.
To use the offline maps, a map must be downloaded from the Settings/Base Maps area.
Badger Meter establishes the availability of offline maps. Depending on the service area in
which the Utility covers, entire state maps may be available or smaller regional maps will be
used. To install a map, click on Download & Install, then expand the details and monitor
the status of the installation. Once the map is completely installed an Uninstall option is
displayed.
