5. ICMP
About RAID broken
When mor e than one HDD is ou t of order, the RAID is considered as ’broken’ and the content is lost. The failed HDDs must be
changed and a new RAID m ust be created.
Exchange or re-use of a disk set
It’s possible to have several sets of disks with on e ICMP or to reuse a complete set of disks com ing from another projector with
ICMP.Itissufficient to insert the three HDDs, from a valid RAID array, and let the system explore the new RAID. The mounting order
of the HDDs and the HDD slots do not m atter. Of course, wh en using HDDs from another ICMP it is necessary to retrieve from the
content distributor the KDMs corresponding to the content and the new ICMP.
HDD storage capacity
Make sure that all HDDs in the ICMP HDD set have the same storage capacity. See label on top of the HDD to know the storage
capacity.
HDD storage
The m aximum recom mended storage period for the drive in a non-o perational environm ent is 90 days. Driv es s hould be stored in the
original unopen ed shipping pac kaging wheneve r possible. O nce the dr ive is remove d from the o riginal packaging the recommended
maximum period between drive operation cycles is 30 days. During any storage period the dr ive non-operational temperature,
humidity, wet bulb, atmospheric conditions, shock, vibration, magnetic and electrical field specifications should be followed.
HDD models validated by Barco
Only the original HDD spare parts provided by B arco or models validated b y Barco (see list below) can be used in the ICM P. All
deviations from this rule void warranty.

Functionality
1
AUDIO-AES 1-8 (9-16)
ICMP o utputs sixteen audio signals e quitably distributed over these two RJ45 connectors, wh ich can be configured
independently. The mapp ing of a
udio c hannels (content) on eac h audio output (AES outputs of the ICMP) is performed by
configuring the ICMP via the Communic ator software. Please refer to the Communicator user guide for further information.
2
GPO 1-4 (5-8)
These RJ45 connectors can be used
to send trigger signals to other devices. The mapping of user Cues (output Cues) on
each General P urpos e Output (GPO) is configu red via the Com municator software. Please refer to the Com munica tor
user guide for further information.
