5. ICMP
5.13 ICMP reset
This procedure requires that ICMP version 1.2.4 or later is installed.
ICMP reset possibilities
The Star button on the local keypad ( Not for C - and B-series)
The ICMP reset button in t he GUI of the Communic ator.
The ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Commander.
The ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Web Com mander.
The ICMP hardware reset button located on the front pane l of the ICMP (N ot r ecom mended, use only when all other re
set
possibilities are exhausted!)
How to reset the ICMP?
1. Click on the ICMP reset b utton in the GUI of the Web Commander
Or,
Click on the ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Commander
Note: It can be that the Com ma nder or WEB-C omm ander is not able to send the reset com mand.
Or,
click on the ICMP reset button in the GU I of the C ommunicator (recommended)
Or,
press the Star button on the local keypad for a few seconds (Not for C- and B-series)
As a result the projector is safely prepared for the ICM P reboot. All ongoing events on the ICMP (e.g. ingest) are requested to
end. After a few seconds the ICM P is requested to restart. The RE ADY LED on the front panel of the ICMP starts to blink orange.
In case the I CM P is installed in DP4K-L s eries projector the lasers are switched off and the projector remains in the sam e mode
(e.g. Conditioned). The Star button on the local keypad s tarts blinking green. After the reset of the ICMP the lasers ar e switched
on again.
Once the READY LED lit continuous green the ICMP is up and running.
2. Did the re set of the ICMP fail?
If yes, perform a hardware reset as follows:
a) switch off the lasers of the p rojector or switch of the projector lamp.
b) press the ICMP hardware rese t button a few s econds (reference 3 image 5-13) .
Warning: Resetting the ICMP with the hardware reset button may cause damage to the content on the HDDs. A re-congu-
ration of the whole system may be required!
As a result the projector is s afely prepared for the ICM P reboot. All ongoing events on the ICM P (e.g. ingest) are stopped
immediately and the ICMP res tarts.
