5.7 ICMP HDMI 2.0 specications
HDMI
HDMI (High-Denition Multimedia Interface) is a co mpac t audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed v ideo
data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a com -
patible computer monitor, v ideo projector, digital television, or digital audio de
vice. HDMI is a digital replacement for
existing analog video standards.
HDMI 2.0 specications
HDMI
Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are fully com pliant with the HDM I 1.4, 1.4a, 1.4b, 2.0 and 2.0a revisions of the HDMI specication.
Full Ran ge and Lim ited Range Q uantization are supported for all specied formats.
BT.709 and DCI-P3 are supported for all forma ts. For HDR content (UHD and 4K only) the B T.2020 color coding is supported.
All video streams should have a progressive scan orde r, with the excep
tion of 19 20x1080i 60 fps (interlaced scan).
HDCP
Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are HDCP 1.4 & HDCP 2.2 comp liant.
HDR (SMPTE ST 2084)
HDR (High Dynam ic Range) is supported on all UHD and 4K formats.
This inc ludes SMPT E ST 2084 (static metadata) and B T.2020 color coding. Requires a license!
HDMI 2.0 Cable requirements
All HDMI cables should work with HDMI 2 .0 receivers. There is no such thing as a “4K HDM I cable” even though th is is sometimes
sold this way. But of course there are quality differences. The “high-speed” cables w ould be preferred over the “standard-speed”
cables. They usually work at higher cable lengths than the standard -speed ones.
