5. Press the DOW SER button on the Local Keypad or use the Communicator to op en the dowser.
Note: The state of the dowser (open or closed) when starting up the projector will be the same as wh en the projector was
switched off. This procedure assumes that the dows er was closed .
CAUTION: See user’s guide of the Communicator Touch Panel to operate and control the Thor.
When for any reaso n a restart of the projector is required, the content server should be restarted also.
6.2 Switch ing the Thor OFF
About the switch off process
To sw itch off the T hor in a safe manner to protect the internal electronics (avoid mo isture due to war
ming up) the temperature inside
the sealed c ompartm ents has to be brought back to ambient in a controlled manner. This process is called deconditioning.
How to switch the Thor OFF?
1. Press the Standby button for three seconds on the Local K eypad or use the Communicator Touch Panel to switch the p rojector
from OPE RATIONAL mode to S TANDBY mode. As a result the lasers are deac tivated (if activated) and the projector starts to
deconditioning the sealed c ompar tments.
Caution: Do not switch off the power from the projector until the laser status light is off.
2. Switch the projector OF F with the power switch.
Keep in m ind that it can take up to 10 min utes to start the lasers ag ain af ter they were switched off. If there
are only 30 to 45 minutes between the shows it’s advisable to keep the la
sers on with dowser closed. When
the dowser is closed the lasers are au tomatically dimm ed.
