3.7 Intercommunication between Users
Isolated / Call Function
ISOL/CALL key
It is possible that some users (ACU devices) are connected to a group(s) =
intercom circuit(s). The user and group selection are done in the configuration.
Intercom circuit (intercom groups):
Cockpit crew.
Cabin crew.
IC ring line (connected to the cabin, cockpit or 3
rd
-IC-circuit; configurable
by the configuration setup*).

-IC-circuit (controlled by an external switch, refer to the REU6100
manual).
Functions:
The cockpit and cabin intercom circuits can be directly controlled by the
ACU610X.
All users in the same intercom circuit are able to listen and talk together.
The intercom circuit can be isolated and connected.
If two intercom circuits are connected, all users of this two intercom
circuits can hear and talk to each other.
If two intercom circuits are isolated, users of the one intercom circuit
cannot hear or talk to a user of the other intercom circuit.
Isolate/connect intercom circuit:
Push to the key "ISOL/CALL".
o The intercom between the cockpit and cabin circuit is disconnected
(isolated).
o The LED "ISOL/CALL" is on.

ISOL/CALL key
In the cockpit the key "ISOL/CALL" is used to connect/disconnect the cockpit and
the cabin circuit.
Push to the key "ISOL/CALL".
o The intercom between the cockpit and cabin group is disconnected
(isolated).
o The LED "ISOL/CALL" is on.
NOTICE:
LED on: cockpit and cabin intercom circuits are disconnected (isolated).
LED off: cockpit and cabin intercom circuits are connected.
