BRAKE [E51] - DEPTH [E52] - AIR [E53]
SPEED [E51] Speed brake In addition to the constant wheel brake BRAKE, there is a brake force
that activates when wheel speed gets too high, it’s the Speed brake. It gives temporarily extra
power to clutch, slowing it down to prevent line jerking. Max speed [E51 PP] determines the speed
at which the Speed brake will activate / deactivate the extra power. Brake power [E51] is the
amount of power used during the time Brake Time [E51P].
DEPTH [E52] Depth brake is activated if the sinker approaches the Depth too quickly, for softer
stop. Maximum speed is determined by Depth brake - Speed [E52PP]. The brake is activated if the
calculated time until the Depth is reached is less than set Depth brake - Time [E52P]. Brake force
is determined by Depth brake Power [E52].
AIR [E53] Air brake is similar to Speed brake above and is suppose to be used when hooks and
lines are located above boat deck with risk of being hooked. Therefore Air brake is only active close
to the Zeropoint, called Above depth [E53P]. Brake time and Brake power used in Air brake are
retrieved from Speed brake, but the Air brake Speed [E53] can be lowered.
Air brake - Above depth [E53P] determines how far from Zeropoint the Air brake will apply and
where Speed brake takes over the control. For a correct function, the Above depth [E53 P] should
be set to whatever Line Out shows when the last hook leaves the boat.
When any of the three Speed brakes are activated, it can be visualized in Main screen display in
the Status field for troubleshooting or fine tuning. Se chapter DISPLAY Show wheel status
