5.5 Automatic PV measurement
During automatic PVmeasurement, the following measurements are carried out:
• Measurement of the PV open-circuit voltageV
OC
• Measurement of the PVshort-circuit currentI
SC
• Measurement of the insulating resistanceR
ISO
During the insulating resistance measurement, the PVgenerator is shorted. Measurement is
made between the red 4mm test socket“+” and the shorted PVtest sockets.
Requirements
• Please observe the requirements for measuring [}page24].
• The DCpolarity is correct and the DCvoltage is in the range between 5and1 000V.
• Corresponding measuring ranges [}page22]
• Stable insolation conditions
• Approved safety measuring lines
