1Remove the front cover unit. (see page 6)
2Lower the presser foot lifter,setthethreadtensiondial
at “9” and loosen the Screw

3Adjusttheplaybetween the tension release rod (2)

and the Spring holder

approximately 0.3 - 0.5
mm and tighten the Screw(A) 1 .
4Raisethepresserfoot lifter, turnthethreadtension
dial from “9” to “0”, makesurethetensiondisc

should open 1.0 mm 6 .
5Reattachthefrontcover unit.

Tension disc
Clearance (approximately 1.0 mm)

When the presser foot lifter is raised, the tension release mechanism should work correctly.
If not, adjust as follows.
