Sound
You can adjust the sound settings (bass
and treble) separately for each source (e.g.
radio, CD, CD changer, and AUX). The set-
tings for volume distribution settings (bal-
ance and fader) and the X-BASS apply to all
the audio sources.
Note:
An optimal sound setting is achieved
when you use the functions described
in the chapters "Enhanced sound
settings" and "DSA – Digital Sound
Adjustment".
You can use the functions described
in this chapter in parallel to adjust the
sound for the current audio source or
in a current situation. For example, use
the settings for bass and treble to ad-
just the sound properties for a specifi c
recording or genre, or balance and fad-
er to purposefully reduce the volume of
the playback in a part of the vehicle.
Adjusting Bass
Press the MENU button A.
Press the softkey "Audio Settings" 6.
Press the softkey "Bass" ;.
Adjust the bass level by pressing the
> or
button @ (down) or > or
@ (up).
When you have fi nished making your
changes,
press the OK button B repeatedly un-
til you reach the desired menu level for
additional settings or completely exit
the menu.

Adjusting Treble
Press the MENU button A.

Press the softkey "Treble" 6.
Adjust the treble by pressing the

Press the softkey "Balance" 7.
Adjust the left/right volume distribu-
tion by pressing the
> or button
@ (down) or
> or @ (up).
When you have fi nished making your
changes,
press the OK button B repeatedly un-
til you reach the desired menu level for
additional settings or completely exit
the menu.
Adjusting the front/rear volume
distribution ( fader)
Note:
This setting is not available if crossover
mode is switched on (see the chapter
"Enhanced sound settings in crossover
mode").
