TMC for dynamic navigation
systems
TMC stands for "Traffi c Message Channel".
Traffi c reports are broadcast digitally via
TMC, which means they can be used by
compatible navigation systems during route
planning. Your car sound system has a TMC
output, which you can use for connecting
Blaupunkt navigation systems.
The scan for TMC information is initiated by
the navigation system. During the scan, the
display shows "TMC Scan". If TMC informa-
tion is found, the TMC symbol appears on
the display.
You can fi nd out from your Blaupunkt dealer
which navigation systems can be used with
your car sound system.

If your car sound system is installed as de-
scribed in the installation instructions and
your vehicle features the corresponding
connection, the display brightness for day
and night is switched by switching the ve-
hicle lighting on or off. You can adjust the
display brightness separately for night and
day in steps ranging from 1 - 16.
Press the MENU button A.
Press the softkey "Display Settings"

The "Display" menu appears.
Press the softkey "Brightness" 6.
The current settings of the display bright-
ness for "Night" and "Day" are displayed.
Press the
or button > to select
"Night" or "Day".
Press the
or button @ to adjust
the display brightness for night or day.
When you have fi nished making your
changes,
press the OK button B repeatedly un-
til you reach the desired menu level for
additional settings or completely exit
the menu.

er things, the installation position of the de-
