Note:
If the list contains more than 4 fi les and
subdirectories, the list is automatically
scrolled up or down while you are navi-
gating in the list. If you reached the top
or the bottom of the list, the arrows of
the softkeys ; or 9 are shown only
as an outline.
Press the OK button B.
The display shows the current software ver-
sion of the radio and that of the fi le on the
data carrier.
Note:
If the selected fi le is invalid, the mes-
sage "Invalid File" appears and you are
returned to the list view. If necessary,
select a different fi le or restart the in-
stallation process after saving the cor-
rect software fi le on the USB data car-
rier.
To start the installation,
press the OK button B.
The installation progress is indicated by a
progress bar. After the installation is com-
plete, the device automatically switches off
and on again with the new software.
Restoring factory settings
( Norm Set)
You can restore the original factory settings
of the device.
Note:
If you restore the original factory set-
tings of the device, your personal set-
tings, such as the display brightness,
volume and sound settings, names of
external audio sources and welcome
text, are lost.

To restore the factory settings,
press the MENU button A.
Press the NEXT button 2.
Press the "Various Settings" softkey
;.
The "Various" menu is displayed.
Press the "Norm Set" softkey ; for
longer than 2 seconds.
Note
If you press the "Norm Set" softkey
only briefl y, the note "START NORMSET
– Press Softkey 4 for 2 Sec. to confi rm"
briefl y appears. Press the same softkey
; again for longer than 2 seconds.
The device switches off and immediately
on again. All settings are returned to the
factory settings.
