Enhanced sound settings
You can connect a subwoofer and a centre
speaker to this device.
To optimise the sound for the use of sub-
woofer a centre speaker in normal mode
(crossover mode is not switched on), you
can:
adjust one high-pass fi lter each for
the front and rear loudspeakers
(channels).
adjust the high-pass fi lter, phase shift
and level for the centre speaker.
adjust a low-pass fi lter, subsonic fi l-
ter, phase shift and level for the sub-
woofer.
The following adjustment options are avail-
able for high-pass and low-pass fi lters:
Frequency : Select the cut-off frequen-
cy up to which lower frequencies (high-
pass) or higher frequencies (low-pass)
should be blocked. Only frequencies
above the cut-off frequency (high-
pass) or below the cut-off frequency
(low-pass) are passed on to the loud-
speakers.
Slope : Adjust the attenuation of the fi l-
ter. A high value ensures a steep fi lter
slope, which translates to a strict sepa-
ration between blocked and forwarded
frequencies. A low value ensures a
soft separation, which translates to a
gradual transition from blocked to for-
warded frequencies. The settings "Flat"
or 12, 18 or 24 dB/Oct are available for
attenuation.
Characteristics : Select the charac-
teristics of the fi lter. Available set-
tings are "Bessel", "Butterworth" and
"Chebychev".
