OIL FILTER BYPASS
1 Autothrottle (if engaged) . . . . . . . . . . .Disengage
2 Thrust lever
(affected engine) . . . Confirm . . . . . . . . . Retard
slowly until the
OIL FILTER BYPASS
light extinguishes or
the thrust lever is closed
3 Choose one:
4 Run the engine at reduced thrust to keep the light
extinguished.
PM398, PM411, PQ976 - PT832
5 Transponder mode selector . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TA
This step prevents climb commands which can
exceed reduced thrust performance capability.

ENGINE OIL FILTER BYPASS
Condition:
Oil filter contamination can cause oil to
bypass the oil filter.
OIL FILTER BYPASS light extinguishes:
