1 Set the flap lever to the nearest detent that is equal
to or less than the smallest indicated flap position.
Caution! Do not attempt to move the trailing
edge flaps with the ALTERNATE FLAPS
switch because there is no asymmetry
protection.

Trailing Edge Flap Asymmetry
Condition:
One or more of these occur:
An uncommanded roll occurs when the
flaps change position
The left and right flap indications
disagree.
Objective:
To configure the airplane for landing.
Note: Do not use FMC performance predictions
with any flaps or slats extended.
