1 Autopilot (if engaged) . . . . . . . . . . . . .Disengage
2 Maintain control of the airplane with all available
flight controls. If roll is uncontrollable, immediately
reduce pitch/angle of attack and increase airspeed.
Do not attempt to maintain altitude until control is
recovered.
3 Autothrottle (if engaged) . . . . . . . . . . .Disengage
4 Verify thrust is symmetrical.

5 Flaps. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Retract to flaps 1
on schedule
Roll may be the result of trailing edge flap
displacement due to a flap spindle fracture.
Consider accomplishing a go-around.
6 Plan a flaps 1 landing.
7 Set VREF 40 + 30 knots.
8 Check the appropriate Non-Normal Configuration
Landing Distance table in the Advisory Information
section of the Performance Inflight chapter. Use the
Advisory Information for Trailing Edge Flap
Disagree, VREF 40 + 30 knots.
9 Checklist Complete Except Deferred Items

Uncommanded Roll
Condition:
Uncommanded roll occurs when flaps are
extended with no flap asymmetry. May be
accompanied by a loud bang.
