Takeoff
Acceleration height
• Set flaps up
maneuvering speed
• Retract flaps on schedule
Thrust reduction height
• Select or verify climb
thrust (2 engine)
Initial climb speed
• V2+15 to V2+25 knots, or
V2 to V2+20 knots (1 engine)
Above 400 feet RA
• Select or verify roll mode
Flaps up
• Select VNAV (2 engine)
• At flaps up speed, select LVL
CHG (1 engine)
• Select CON thrust (1 engine)
• Do the NNC (as needed)
• Do the After Takeoff checklist
Positive rate of climb
• Retract gear
Thrust set
• Manually advance
thrust to stabilize
• Push TO/GA
Takeoff roll
• Set takeoff thrust by 60 knots
• Monitor airspeed
• Maintain light forward pressure
For an immediate turn after
takeoff, maintain initial
climb speed with takeoff
flaps while maneuvering.
Follow AFDS bank limits.
Note:
VR
• Rotate
V1
Engage the autopilot when above minimum
altitude for autopilot engagement (2 engine)
or after a roll mode and LVL CHG are
engaged (1 engine).
