5 Installation
5.1 General notes
Fire panels can only be installed in dry, clean interior rooms.
To ensure optimum battery service life, the panel should only be operated at sites with
normal room temperatures.
The following environmental conditions must be noted:
Permissible ambient temperature: -5 °C to +50 °C (23 °F to 122 °F)
Permissible relative humidity: Max. 95%, non-condensing
Operating and display elements should be positioned at eye level.
Frame installation housings require at least 230 mm free space on the right next to the
last housing; this space is for swiveling out the attached housing for connection,
maintenance, and service.
Sufficient space should be left below and next to the control panel for any possible
extensions, e.g. for an additional power supply or an extension housing.
Only use installation materials recommended by BOSCH-ST; interference resistance
cannot otherwise be guaranteed.
Warning! ESD (electrostatic discharge). The standard precautions for C-MOS technology
must be taken when handling PC boards.
FPA modules are encapsulated and the connection terminals are protected against static
discharge.
The connection criteria of the regional authorities/institutions (police, fire service) must
be observed.
Do not operate devices showing condensation
5.2 Installation Instructions
1. Mark three holes on the wall as shown in the installation drawing.
2. At the marked points, drill holes approx. 55 mm deep with an 8 mm drill and insert a plug
in each hole.
3. Insert the top fixing screws until they project by 5 mm from the wall, then hang the
housing or mounting frame on the projecting screws.
4. Now fit the third fixing screw. This 'security' screw prevents the housing from being
pushed up and off the top screws.
5. Finally, check the installed position and tighten all three screws.
All listed mounting frames, wall-mounting housings and extension housings are supplied with
the following installation materials:
3x screws 6 x 50 mm
3x plugs 8mm
