Terminal
adapter

The transmission parameters of both the sending and receiving terminal must be
properly defined for fault-free transmission. V
arious baud rates can be used if the
data flow is actively monitored. Please refer to the respective user manual for in
-
formation on the configuration of your data terminal.
Clearing down data connections
Y
ou can clear down a data connection
manually via the keypad of your telephone
or via your data terminal.
Clear down via your phone:
Select the menu item “T
A dialing” to display
information about your data connection.
Press the “Release” key.
The data connection is terminated.
Clear down via your data terminal:
The setting “DTR” must be selected from
the menu item “Disconnect”.
Configuring the terminal adapter
Select the menu item “Set T
A”. This menu
contains all of the parameters that you can
modify.
Define the parameters for your terminal.
Some parameters cannot be modified. Fur
-
ther information on the individual parame
-
ters may be found in the terminal adapter
user manual.
Note:
Y
ou may only change the parameters of
your terminal adapter if there is no ongoing
data connection.

esting the terminal adapter
Select the menu item “T
est TA”.
Y
ou can now perform various tests.

o display the state of the V
.24 interface
circuits, press the “Arrow down” key sev-
eral times until the status appears on the
display.
