NOTE
Damages to the seals!
Aggressive detergents or solvents can damage the seals of the planetary gearbox
and can cause the seals to age faster!
f When removing the preserving agent make sure that no aggressive detergents or
solvents enter the seal areas. This applies in particular to the area of the output
seals.
Observe assembly sequence!
For K model planetary gearboxes and the installation of a sprocket (Turas), extra
effort (time) is required for the installation of the unit on the vehicle frame by
disregarding the order of assembly. The sprocket (Turas) cannot be mounted when
the planetary gearbox is installed.
f Before attaching the K model planetary gearbox to the vehicle frame, the
sprocket (Turas) must be mounted to the planetary gearbox.
f Use the required mounting screws (not included within the scope of supply)
to attach the sprocket (Turas) (not included within the scope of supply) to
the planetary gearbox . For the number of bores and thread size, refer to the
planetary gearbox dimensioned drawing in the appendix D “Technical data /
Drawings” of the material number-specic operating instructions.
7.5.2
Installing the planetary gearbox with assembled axial-piston motor into
the machine or chassis frame
If the HYDROTRAC GFT planetary gearbox is supplied together with the axial-piston
motor, the axial-piston motor is mounted on the planetary gearbox. Depending on
the existing opening in the machine or chassis frame, the axial-piston motor has to
be removed from the planetary gearbox prior to assembly.
CAUTION
Failure or damage to the planetary gearbox!
Depending on the model of the planetary gearbox, the carrier can be pulled out
of the disk teeth engagement of the static multiple-disk parking brake e.g. when
disassembling the axial-piston motor. This may result in a multiple-disk brake
failure!
f When assembling the planetary gearbox, make sure that the carrier and
the disks are in the position indicated in the spare parts drawing, view "A",
in appendix D "Technical data / Drawings" of the material number-specic
operating instructions.
For disassembling the axial-piston motor from the planetary gearbox:
1. For installation, strictly observe the corresponding data in the dimensioned
drawing of the planetary gearbox in appendix D“Technical data / Drawings” of
the material number-specic operating instructions.
2. Also observe the primary operating instructions of the machine or vehicle and
the manufacturer’s frame drawing.
3. For the planetary gearbox weight, refer to appendix D “Technical data /
Drawings” of the material number-specic operating instructions.
