SMART MATRIX FEEDER 2-42
Graphics Display
This function, which can be activated pressing the button , allows you to selectively display three types
of graphical information on Smart Matrix Feeder screen, depending on the type of used application:
1) Histogram of the amount of yarn absorbed (LFA) by the various ULTRAFEEDER/ROLLING
FEEDER/UNIFEEDER devices, with respect to a reference device (for applications on circular
machines).
2) Graphic representation of the absorbed yarn length (LFA) in both carriage moving directions (for
applications on flat knitting machines).
3) Real time graphic measurement of speed and amount of absorbed yarn (LFA) by the various
ULTRAFEEDER/ROLLING FEEDER/UNIFEEDER devices.
LFA graphic for circular machines (SEAMLESS, SOCKS, PANTYHOSE, JERSEY KNIT, JAQUARD
KNIT applications)
Thanks to the indications provided by this graphic, you will have the possibility to adjust the various machine
feeds, so that they show the same absorption value (this is the condition needed to obtain a perfect product).
In particular, once you have adjusted the cam of the reference device so as to obtain the desired absorption
value (LFA m/min), you will have to check that all the other ULTRAFEEDER/ROLLING FEEDER devices
feed the same amount of yarn and, if necessary, you shall carry out the required adjustments. As an
alternative to the mechanical adjustment, you may try to automatically adjust the machine using the
CALIBRATION function.
Press the button for direct access to graphics.
Press SET to choose the type of graphic to be
displayed.
Select CIRCULAR in GRAPH MODE.
Chose whether you want to use the external
synchronism signal:
EXT.1x = graphic generated at each pulse
EXT.10x = graphic generated every 10 pulses
EXT.100x = graphic generated every 100 pulses
or a synchronism signal internally generated (AUTO)
in CIRCULAR PRX (*)

items, please refer to the next page.
(*) The frequency of synchronism signal (AUTO) can be configured within the range 500 – 10,000 msec.
using the CIRCULAR ADV SETTINGS function, which can be selected pressing the
