11.2 Troubleshooting
Fault Effect Remedy
Burner fault
– Central heating stays
cold.
– Reset the burner as described in the boiler or burner
documentation.
Boiler remains cold
– Central heating
sometimes stays cold.
– Check whether the thermostat is set to AUT.
– Check whether fuel is available.
If this does not work:
– Set burner emergency switch on the control unit to
manual mode.
– Set the burner switch on the ZM422 module to max/I
+II, and set the boiler water temperature using the
thermostat.
– Notify your heating contractor.
DHW temperature not
rising
– DHW sometimes stays
too cold.
– Check whether the thermostat is set to AUT.
If this does not work:
– Set the DHW and heating circuit switch on the
ZM422 module to manual.
– Notify your heating contractor.
Safety chain has
responded
– Central heating stays
cold.
– Check whether the boiler is completely filled with
water.
– Check whether the boiler is under at least 1 bar
pressure.
If this is the case:
– Reset the high limit safety cut-out by removing the
domed nut and pressing the reset button located
below.
If this does not work:
– Notify your heating contractor.
Remote control
fault
– The control unit works
with the last values set on
the remote control.
– Notify your heating contractor.
Boiler sensor fault;
Outside temperature
sensor fault;
Flow sensor fault
– The heating system may
heat with higher
temperatures to
safeguard the heat
supply.
– Consult your heating contractor.
– Tell your heating contractor which temperature
sensor is faulty.
DHW sensor fault
– If the DHW sensor is
faulty, water is not heated
for safety reasons.
– Notify your heating contractor.
