6.1 Product inlet
6.1.1 Product distribution over entire width
A uniform distribution over the entire width can be achieved as follows:
• Feed product to the centre of the distribution plate (3) using gates (1) and (2).
• The slope of the distribution plate (3) can be adjusted:
– Steep slope = more product in the centre
– Shallow slope = more product towards the outside
6.1.2 Adjusting the gates
To adjust the gates (1) and (2) slightly loosen screw (7) only.
Use the lever (8) to adjust the gate.
6.1.3 Distribution over one and two sieve decks for DFTA 13 and DFTA 23
A uniform distribution over the first and second sieve decks can be achieved as
follows:
• Adjust the distribution plates (4) and (5) so that the product falls onto the centre
of the distributing cross-member (6).
• For products with a low specific gravity and large capacity, the distributing cross-
member (9) can be turned 180° and installed reversed.
