Setup Preparation
Follow the guidelines below before you begin the setup procedure:

Pri
or to using the manikin, ensure it reaches ambient temperature.
• Ensure multi-plug AC power outlets exist in the workspace to charge the simulator an
d its
powered components. The instructor tab
let is battery operated and enabled for wireless
use; however, the patient monitor must be plugged into a power source during use.
• Plug in the tablet, manikin, and rechargeable accessories (such as StethoSym) to a powe
r
source using
only the power cords provided. Use the diagram provided in the Unpacking
Your CAE Manikin to identify the designated cords associated with this equipment.
•
Do
not power on any components unless instructed to do so in the Setup Pr
ocedure
se
ction of this guide.
Setup Procedure
After reviewing the guidelines for unpacking the manikin and setup preparation, proceed to the setup
procedure steps.
Setup Procedure
1 Place the Juno manikin in the work area
2 Prepare the manikin for legs
3 Attach the legs
4 Attach the articulated arm and IV arm
5 Attach the NIBP arm (Optional)
6 Modify a blood pressure cuff (Optional)
7 Place the wig
