Note: DO NOT overturn abdominal plate once the stoma has been irrigated or fluid will
release from the stoma opening.

3. After the simulation, remove the stoma insert and replace the plug.
4. If the site was irrigated, empty the internal reservoir as follows:
a. Remove the abdominal plate.
b. Unscrew the black cap and empty the reservoir.
c. Replace the abdominal plate.
Enema Procedures
You can practice enema procedures with real fluids:
1. Fill the enema bag with up to 200 ml distilled water.
Note: If more fluid is needed, attach IV tubing and an empty IV bag to the enema overflow
port.
2. Remove cap on the overflow port.
3. Position manikin onto left side and locate the anus.
4. Lubricate three inches of the tubing at the insertion end.
5. Instill enema fluid, not more than 200 ml as per procedure.
6. After the simulation, drain the enema reservoir.
