Replace the batteries
Supported battery types
Calix recommends and supports using Dynasty 80 AH batteries. One string fits into the
ODC-10 cabinet.
DANGER! Handle batteries with care. Batteries contain a stored charge.
Procedure to replace the batteries
Step Action
1.
Set the battery breaker switch above the drawer to OFF.
2.
Open the battery drawer, disconnect the battery wiring, and remove the
batteries to be replaced.
3.
Place the batteries into the battery drawer.
4.
Remove the battery terminal bolts and apply No-Ox anti-corrosion grease to
each battery terminal.
5.
Thread a lock washer, a flat washer, the battery
temperature compensation sensor, and a battery wire
terminal lug onto a terminal bolt.
