Procedure to terminate the subscriber cables
Route subscriber cable over the pegs
The above configuration is one possible routing suggestion. Your cable routing
configuration may differ. Additional cable routing posts are included in the cabinet
installation kit.
Step Action
1.
Terminate the sheath ground to the main ground bar.
2.
On the factory installed subscriber cable, remove the cover from one cable
binder.
3.
On the outside plant cable, remove the opposite cover from the matching
cable binder.
4.
Use the appropriate tool to squeeze the two connectors together for a tight
fit.
5.
Repeat steps 2 through 4 for all binders in the outside plant cable.
After the subscriber cable is installed and sealed, route the
cable over the cable management pegs as shown.
The blue cables are the outside plant cables and the gray are
the factory installed cables.
