Available fiber splice tray options
Fiber splice trays are available for three splice types. The splice options are mechanical,
fusion, and heat shrink. Each fiber splice tray can hold 12 fiber splices.
Fiber splice tray capacity
Fiber splice tray holders can accept up to 10 fiber splice trays. At 12 splices per tray, one
splice tray holder supports a total of 120 fiber splices. All the trays install and stack in the
same way.
If you don't install any fiber distribution holders, you can install 2 splice tray holders to
support 240 fiber splices.
Fiber jumper and pigtail options
From the front of a Calix C7 optical plug-in card, you can run a fiber jumper to a
fiber distribution cassette.
From the front of a Calix C7 optical plug-in card, you can run a fiber pigtail to a
fiber splice tray.
You can run a pigtail between a fiber splice tray and a fiber distribution cassette.
Fiber holder locations
The above configuration is a sample placement suggestion. Your configuration may differ.
The fiber splice tray holder and fiber distribution cassette
holder are mounted on the left near the center of the splice
tray compartment.
The fiber splice tray holder is above the fiber distribution
cassette holder.
