Relative humidity above saturated salt solutions:
relative humidity [%]
at a temperature of ...°C
2)
[g / 100 g H
O]
Table 1: If not stated differently the values are from: CRC Handbook of Chemistry and
Physics 1995 by CRC Press.
1) Values from Römpp Lexicon Chemistry (9. Edition).
2) The solubility values are from: Küster, Friedrich W.: Rechentafeln für die chemische
Analytik. Berlin, New York: de Gruyter, 103. bearb. Aufl., 1985.
Remarks:
It should be added that heating air of 75% relative humidity from
20 to 21°C reduces the relative humidity by 5% down to 70%. A
constant temperature is thus necessary for reaching optimal hu-
midity constancy. The salt solution should in any case have the
same temperature as the ADC2, which, especially with recently
manufactured salt solutions is generally not immediately the case.
