The LE-311, LE-311v, and LE-327 devices also include an external serial console port for RS-232
communication on the front of the device labeled RS-232 Console. The console port can be used
to attach a terminal or a PC to the device for out-of-band management. The RS-232 port
connector utilizes a standard DB-9 connector that follows standard DTE wiring pin assignment.
A null modem cable should be used to connect a PC (DTE) to the device console port.
The device side (male connector) of the RS-232 console port pinout is as follows, with the left-
most pin as pin 1:
