  If your cineVision DVD VCR Combo remote control isn't working, first ensure you're pointing it directly at the unit's remote sensor. Then, make sure you are within 23 feet (7 meters) of the unit and that there are no obstructions in the way. If it still doesn't work, try replacing the batteries with new ones. Also, ensure that the remote is in the correct mode by pressing DVD for DVD control or VCR for VCR control.

Verify the TV is powered on. If you are in Progressive Scan mode, press and hold the P.SCAN button for 5 seconds while in Stop mode to switch to Interlace Scan mode.
