Configuring the Speed and Duplex Settings for a Port-Channel Interface
You can configure the speed and duplex settings for a port-channel interface.
SUMMARY STEPS
1. configure terminal
2. interface port-channel channel-number
3. speed {10 | 100 | 1000 | auto}
4. duplex {auto | full | half}
5. exit
6. show interface port-channel channel-number
7. copy running-config startup-config
DETAILED STEPS
Command Purpose
Step 1
configure terminal
Example:
switch# configure terminal
switch(config)#
Enters configuration mode.
Step 2
interface port-channel channel-number
Example:
switch(config)# interface port-channel 2
switch(config-if)
Specifies the port-channel interface that you want to
configure, and enters the interface mode.
Step 3
speed {10 | 100 | 1000 | auto}
Example:
switch(config-if)# speed auto
switch(config-if)#
Sets the speed for the port-channel interface. The
default is auto for autonegotiation.
Step 4
duplex {auto | full | half}
Example:
switch(config-if)# speed auto
switch(config-if)#
Sets the duplex for the port-channel interface. The
default is auto for autonegotiation.
Step 5
exit
Example:
switch(config-if)# exit
switch(config)#
Exits the interface mode and returns to the
configuration mode.
