To install a transceiver unit on a metal backing plate, do the following
steps:
1. Decide where on the wall the unit must be mounted, taking
access to the unit into account.
2. Place the backing plate against the wall.
3. The backing plate will have four holes. Mark the locations of the
four holes on the wall using chalk, a carpenter’s pencil or similar.
4. Install the backing plate on the wall, using the appropriate
method. Note the orientation of the mounting holes on the
backing plate.
5. Using the M3x8 countersunk screws, screw the sliding bracket
onto the backing plate with the safety catchment portion facing
downward (below).
6. Slide the radio unit downward into the mounting bracket, in such
a way that the mounting lug on the back of the radio engages the
mounting bracket. Note that the antenna terminals of the radio
unit must face up (below).
