To mount the transceiver unit on a DIN rail, do the following steps:
1. Align the transceiver unit with the DIN rail so that the folded end
of the DIN mounting plate is in line with the DIN rail.
2. Gently press the transceiver unit backward and downward, so
that the DIN mounting plate slots onto the DIN rail.
4.3. Installation using the sliding bracket
All FM3200 Endo, FM3500 Endo, FM4200-series, FM4500-series and
FM4800 Fiber transceivers can take advantage of quick-release
installation if they are installed using the sliding bracket (part number FM-
BRKT-SLIDING).
TIP
To install the unit on a concrete or brick wall, or on a wooden
structure, the procedure in this section can be modified by
substituting appropriately-sized wall plugs or self-tapping wood
screws for high-tensile screws.
To mount the unit on a metal backing plate (not included), you will need
the following:
4x M3x8 high-tensile countersunk screws.
An appropriately-sized metal backing plate, drilled and tapped for
the mounting hole pattern as the sliding bracket.
