updates.
• TFTP stands for Trivial File Transfer Protocol, a technology for transferring fi les between
network devices. It is a simplifi ed version of FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
• Unlike FTP, TFTP has no login feature (it does not prompt for user name and password).
• TFTP generally works only on local area networks (LANs).
Local Area Network (LAN) = Intranet
Wide Area Network (WAN) = Internet
Files are updated at a

MENU DATA TFTP UPDATING
• TFTP server will have a static IP adress on the network used by the 9700 to communi-
cate.
• DHCP will assign the 9700 an IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway to use while
communicating with the server.
• If the customer does not use DHCP, each machine will need to be assigned a dedicat-
ed static IP address.
