5.4.1 Automatic DPF Regeneration
Operating the truck with automatic DPF regeneration enabled allows the ECU to
perform intelligent DPF regeneration as required. The DPF Regeneration icon and the
Exhaust Temperature Warning icon will be displayed on the MDC when the system is
actively performing DPF regeneration.
When the automatic DPF regeneration process is completed, the DPF Regeneration
icon and the Exhaust Temperature Warning icon will automatically switch off.
To Disable Automatic DPF Regeneration:
With the Home screen displayed, press button (D) to display the options
screen.
Navigate to the engine icon using button (F), then press button (G) to
display the engine information screen.
With the Engine Information screen displayed, press button (B) to
disable automatic DPF regeneration
The icon will change from to and automatic DPF
regeneration will be disabled until button (B) is pressed a second time
or until the ignition is switched off and back on.
5.4.2 Standstill DPF Regeneration
Standstill DPF regeneration is an automated process initiated at the request of the
operator. This process allows the system to clean the DPF when the operator
previously needed to disable auto DPF regeneration because of specific conditions.
During the process the engine speed will be controlled by the ECU and the machine
must remain parked to complete the procedure.

Caution
Temperatures on the exhaust pipe can reach 600°C/1112°F during DPF
regeneration. Danger of burns!
Disable automatic DPF regeneration when the truck is operating in a
location that is not safe for elevated exhaust temperatures.
Automatic DPF regeneration is enabled by default every time the ignition is
switched off and on.
