6.3.3 Inspections during operation
DuringoperationtheCondairEL2andthehumidicationsystemhavetobeinspectedweekly.On
thisoccasioncheckthefollowing:
• thewaterandsteaminstallationforanyleakage.
• thesteamhumidierandtheothersystemcomponentsforcorrectxingandanydamage.
• theelectricinstallationforanydamage.
Iftheinspectionrevealsanyirregularities(e.g.leakage,errorindication)oranydamagedcompo-
nentstaketheCondairEL2outofoperationasdescribedinchapter6.5. Then, contact your Condair
representative.
6.5 Taking the unit out of operation
Inordertotakethesteamhumidieroutofoperation,performthefollowingsteps:
1. Iftheunithastobeswitchedoffbecauseofamalfunction,pleasenotetheerrorcode(number
ofashesoftheredandyellowLED)oftheactualerrormessageshowninthedisplay.
2. Closetheshut-offvalveinthewatersupplyline.
3. Start manual draining (see chapter 6.4)andwaituntilthesteamcylinderisempty.
4. Actuate the unit switch.
5. Disconnectsteamhumidierfromthemains:Switchoffallserviceswitchestomainssup-
plies(heatingandcontrolvoltage)andsecureswitchesin“off”positionagainstaccidentallybeing
switched on, or clearly mark the switches.
6. Ifambient temperatures ≤0°Cmustbeexpectedwhentheunitisoutofoperation (operation
oftheCondairEL2inaprotectivehousingoutsidethebuilding):drainthewatersupplypipeand
thewaterlter(ltervalve).
WARNING! Danger of burning!
Ifsteamwasproducedjustbeforetheunitistakenoutofoperation,waitbeforeopeningtheunit
andletthesteamcylindercooldowntopreventdangerofburning.
6.4 Carrying out manual draining
1. Brieypressthedrain/infokey. The heating voltage is interrupted and the
drain valve opens. The yellowLEDashes.

2. To stop the drain cycle brieypressthedrain/infokeyagain.
