SharePort Plus
After you have successfully installed and congured your D-Link DIR-895L, you are ready to enjoy the benets of D-Link’s SharePort Plus technology.
D-Link’s SharePort Plus enabled devices allow you to quickly and easily share a USB printer or USB storage device among several PCs using D-Link’s
SharePort Plus Utility Software.
Share a USB Printer
Note: To share a wireless printer, please refer to your printer’s installation documentation.
Install Your Printer To Each Computer
Before attaching your printer to your D-Link DIR-895L, directly install your USB printer to each
of the computers you wish to share it with. Follow the setup instructions provided by your
printer manufacturer. This ensures that your operating system installs the software drivers
and utilities required for your printer to function properly with the SharePort Plus Utility.
Connect Your Printer To Your D-Link SharePort Plus Enabled
DIR-895L
Move your printer near your D-Link SharePort Plus enabled DIR-895L. Plug in your printer’s
power cord, turn it on, load some paper, and connect the printer’s USB cable to your
DIR-895L’s USB port.
