Removing the System Board
1 Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2 Remove the:
a left cover
b optical drive holder
c optical drive
d memory shroud base (s)
e memory shrouds
f heatsink
g PCIe card retention
h PCIe card (s)
i memory module (s)
j processor
3 Disconnect all the connectors from the system board.
4 Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
5 Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
a Slide the system board towards front direction [1].
