Bottom air-shroud
Removing the bottom air-shroud
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
3. Remove the air shroud.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the air shroud and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Release the cables from the front chassis.
2. Pull and release the tab on the bottom air-shroud cover and remove the cover from the computer.
3. Remove cables from the routing guides on the system board.
4. Remove the two (M3x5) screws that secures the bottom air-shroud to the system board.
5. Remove the bottom air-shroud upwards and out of the computer.

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
