What to do if the Denon AVR-X2000 power turns off and the power indicator flashes red every 0.5 seconds?
    • B
      Blake LunaJul 26, 2025
If your Denon Receiver's power turns off and the power indicator flashes red every 0.5 seconds, it could be due to a few reasons. First, the protection circuit may have been activated because speaker cable core wires are in contact. Unplug the power cord and re-twist the core wire or take care of the connector, then reconnect the wire. Alternatively, try turning down the volume and turning the power on again. If the issue persists, the unit’s amplifier circuit may have failed, unplug the power cord and contact our customer service center.

If your Denon Receiver's power turns off and the power indicator flashes red approximately every 2 seconds, the protection circuit may have been activated due to a rise in temperature. Turn the power off, wait about an hour for the unit to cool down, and then turn it on again. Also, ensure the unit is installed in a place with good ventilation.
