BHT-1600 Handy Terminal User Manual
BATTERY SWAP
Backup battery supplies system power during battery swap.
When battery cover is removed, the system will enter suspend mode and not wake up until
battery cover is put back and the power button is pressed.
To perform a battery swapping:
1) Make sure the new battery is fully-charged.
2) Follow Step1~2 in Installing Battery to remove the battery cover. Upon the removal of
the cover, the system will prepare to enter suspend mode with the red light lit, which will
last for 3 to 5 seconds.
3) Flip the device over to observe the Status LED on the front panel. As the red light goes
off, the device is in complete suspend mode and Main battery is ready to be replaced.
Remove the battery and replace it with the new one.
Warning:
Please do not perform a battery swapping before the handy terminal’s OS is ready (Home
Screen is displayed). Removing the battery cover during powering up your handy terminal
(starting from your pushing down the Power button till Home Screen is presented) may
cause system failure.
Note:
(1) When main battery is removed, the system will stay in suspend mode for 30 minutes. To
avoid system being shut down without warning, please replace the main battery within the
30 minutes.
(2) After you remove the battery cover, if the Status LED stays lit for over 10 seconds,
please replace the battery cover right away and perform battery swapping later.
