In such a case, you will not see a battery symbol on the
display of your handset if it is not resting in the charging
unit, and you must repeat a complete charging cycle.
Please make note of the correct polarity when changing the
batteries. Also note that only battery types approved by the
manufacturer (page 39: "Technical Data") may be used.
Never use normal (primary cell) batteries! The manufactu-
rer accepts no liability for malfunctions or damage if non-
specific battery types or normal batteries are used.
Charging time: (empty batteries) 10 - 14 hours to reach full
capacity
Call time: up to 10 hours
Standby: up to 100 hours
The charging status is indicated on the display by the FGHI
symbol, where:
FGHI Battery capacity 75…100%
FGH Battery capacity 50…75%
FG Battery capacity 25…50%
F Battery capacity les than 25%
F (flashing) indicates battery virtually dead;
please insert your handset into the base station/
charging unit without delay
FGHI Frame flashes (handset is in base station / charging
unit) – Charging status is being determined
If the handset is in the base station/charging unit, the fla-
shing segments of the symbol indicate the charging pro-
cess. An audible signal indicates that the handset is inser-
ted correctly into the base station/charging unit.
An audible alarm in the form of 3 short "beeps" indicates
that the battery capacity is virtually expended: you then
have approx. 3 minutes of call time left.
