Important Safety Information
This product requires a 230 V alternating current power
supply. The device can only be switched off by removing
the AC adapter plug from the mains socket.
• Do not open either the base station, the handset nor the
charging unit (accessory), as this could expose you to
high voltages. Any and all repairs must be carried out by
qualified service personnel.
• Do not allow the charging unit and battery contacts to
come into contact with electrically conductive items, such
as keys, paperclips, rings or bracelets.
• Never expose the base station, handset or charging unit
to water or chemicals
• Please only use the mains adapter supplied and the type of
battery supplied (or batteries complying with the specificati-
ons in the technical data).
• Only place the handset in the base station or charging unit
when batteries are installed.
• Do not use a mains adapter that shows any signs of
damage (breaks or cracks in the housing).
• Do not operate the handset in vehicles or in areas where
there is a danger of explosion.
This handset, like any cordless telephone, operates using
radio signals, which cannot guarantee the establishment of
a connection under all conditions. Therefore, you should
never rely solely upon any cordless telephone for essential
communications (e.g. medical emergencies).
Do not install the base station, handset or charging unit
(accessory) in the vicinity of:
• Water, moisture or damp areas.
• Heat sources, direct sunlight or inadequately ventilated
areas.
• Devices which produce strong magnetic fields, electrical
appliances, fluorescent lamps, computers, radios, televisi-
on sets, fax machines and telephone terminals.
• Areas where the equipment may be covered, its ventilati-
on impaired, or where fluids could ingress into it.
• Areas where there is excessive dust, and areas subject to
vibration, shock or extreme temperature fluctuations.
Please install or store handsets and accessories out of
reach of small children.
