You can use your handset with several base stations. These
base stations can also be from other vendors, provided they
comply with the GAP (Generic Access Profile) Standard. This
Standard includes specific parameters for the interaction of
base station and handset. On account of the different compo-
nents, not all features will be available. When operating your
handset in this mode, you should always refer to the opera-
ting instructions of both vendors.
If you wish to enrol your handset at a specific base station, but
are not sure whether it will work on account of the number of
the base stations in range, enrol your handset with the PARK.
The PARK is a globally unique code for base stations compri-
sing up to 15 digits and is provided on the underside of the
base station.
Disconnect the base station from the mains power supp-
ly for at least 5 seconds; after reconnecting, you have 2
minutes to carry out the enrolment procedure.
Enter the following key sequence:P (w)R.
Press 1.
Enter the PARK (up to 15 digits).
Press o.
Enter PIN.
Press o.
If there are no other base stations in the vicinity of the base
station at which you wish to enrol your handset, you can
dispense with entering the PARK.
Disconnect the base station from the mains power supp-
ly for at least 5 seconds; after reconnecting, you have 2
minutes to carry out the enrolment procedure.
Enter the following key sequence:P (w)R.
Press 2.
Enter PIN.
Press o.
