Important information on the batteries
Your handset operates using two standard batteries (NiCd -
shipped with your telephone - can be exchanged for NiMH
batteries).
Use the batteries for their designated purpose only. Never
use a battery that is damaged or depleted.
Heat and cold decrease the efficiency and service life of the
batteries. The ambient temperature should be between 15
and 25 degrees Celsius. A handset fitted with a hot or a
cold battery may not function correctly at times, even if the
battery is fully charged.
Dispose of used batteries via a battery collection point;
Do not dispose of them in the household waste.
Never expose batteries to fire. Please direct any questions
to your specialist dealer.
If you do not use the base station/charging unit for an
extended period, please disconnect from the power supply.
Fully charged but inactive batteries take approx. two
months to discharge at room temperature.
Extreme temperatures can influence the charging efficiency
of batteries.
To achieve long operating times, you should discharge the
batteries from time to time by not inserting the handset into
the charging unit and leaving it switched on until it switches
itself off. Only use this method to discharge the batteries.
