You can specify whether or not you wish to allow remote
access to the answering machine. In order to use the remote
control, "DTMF" signals are required (telephone with dual-
tone multifrequency dialling or a code transmitter).
If remote access is prohibited, it is not possible to access
any of the answering machine functions remotely; the
answering machine can only be operated "locally" in this
context, i.e. via the keys on the base station or via the hand-
set. If, however, you have allowed remote access, you can
perform all functions specified in the following chapter
"Remote control" on a remote basis.

- Enter the numerical code 61
- Enter PIN and press o.
- Display of the current status.
0 = Remote control prohibited
1 = Remote control allowed

In order to operate your answering machine remotely, so-
called "DTMF" signals are required (telephone with dual-tone
multifrequency dialling or a code transmitter). Please note
that a maximum of 20 second are available between the
entry of each individual number. If you do not enter the
requisite number within this time, the connection is termina-
ted.
• If your answering machine is switched on, you will hear the
announcement text. Interrupt this by entering "0". Your
entry will be acknowledged by 3 audible beeps. Enter the
PIN within 8 seconds of hearing this signal. Then select a
function from the following table:
• If your answering machine is switched off, your call will be
accepted after approx. 1 minute and you will hear a multi-
ple signal sequence. Enter the PIN within 8 seconds of
hearing this signal. Then select a function from the follo-
wing table:
